Blueberry muffin ice cream

The tangy flavor of blueberries is the perfect complement for the creamy richness of ice cream.

*Makes about 1 3/4 pints
  • 1/4 cup superfine sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped and chilled
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 blueberry muffins, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries

Butter pecan ice cream

This ice cream is totally irresistible with a buttery toffee flavor and a nutty crunchy texture. If you like the slightly stronger, more bitter flavor of walnuts, you could always try using those instead.

* Makes about 1 pint

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups light cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • few drops pure vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup roughly chopped pecans
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar

Rocky road ice cream

If you can’t find mini-marshmallows, use the larger ones and snip them into smaller pieces with wet scissors.

* Makes about 1 3/4 pints
  • 1/3 cup superfine sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk, chilled
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 milk chocolate, broken up
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped and chilled
  • 1 cup mini-marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup mixed roughly chopped pecans and sliced almonds

Rum and raisin ice cream

Sweet and fruity, with a little kick of rum for special occasions.

* Makes about 1 3/4 pints

  • 1/4 cup lightly chopped raisins
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1/4 cup superfine sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk, chilled
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped and chilled

Crunchy peanut butter ice cream

Peanut butter lovers will go crazy for this peanut-packed ice cream-make it as smooth or as crunchy as you like!


  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 2 cups whipping or heavy cream, whipped
  • 2 tbsp. chopped unsalted peanuts

Fudge brownie ice cream

This one’s very rich, so don’t make it when anyone is thinking of dieting!


  • 1/4 cup superfine sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk, chilled
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped and chilled
  • 1/3 recipe fudge sauce
  • 2 large chocolate brownies, broken into chunks
