Written by Johanna Spyri, Heidi is a timeless story about a cheerful orphan girl who comes to live with her strict and lonely grandfather high in the Swiss Alps. Surrounded by mountains and fresh air, Heidi’s natural kindness and optimism slowly bring warmth to her new home. As she befriends Peter, a young goat herder, she discovers the joy of friendship and simple living, and her gentle spirit begins to change the people around her, raising the question of whether love and patience can heal even the hardest heart.
